New Broken Immortals, New Preorders, and Apparently I Built a Bookstore

It’s been a little while since I’ve done a proper update, and apparently I decided the best way to make up for that was to have everything happen at once.

There’s a new Broken Immortals Reborn omnibus out now, two new books available for preorder, an older version of one of my stories heading into retirement, and—because I am incapable of having a perfectly normal late-night idea—I also built an entire romance and fantasy storefront.

So there’s a lot to catch up on.

The Broken Immortals Reborn: Books 1–3 Is Available Now

I’ve officially bundled the first three books of The Broken Immortals Reborn into one collection.

Since the complete series will eventually contain eight books, this omnibus gives readers the entire opening portion of the saga in one place.

If you haven’t started the series yet, this is probably the easiest way to jump in. And if you’ve already read some of the books but have been meaning to return to the world, now you can grab the first three together.

The Broken Immortals Reborn is an interconnected dark fantasy series filled with witches, vampires, shifters, dangerous magic, ancient grudges, family betrayals, revenge, complicated relationships, and a growing conflict that becomes much larger than any one character realizes in the beginning.

Everyone has secrets.

Almost everyone makes questionable decisions.

And things definitely do not become simpler as the series continues.

This started exactly the way most of my unnecessary projects start.

I was looking for books.

I kept thinking how nice it would be if there were one place where I could browse the romance and fantasy books currently doing well without digging through Amazon over and over again.

Then I thought, Wouldn’t it be great if somebody just put all of that together?

And instead of going to bed like a reasonable person, I stayed up and built it myself.

Thus, The Forbidden Chapter Co. was born.

The shop is centered around curated bestselling romance and fantasy titles, with collections based on what is currently ranking on Amazon.

I’m also adding bookish extras, cozy reading-nook finds, gifts, and articles for readers who enjoy spending almost as much time talking about books and creating places to read them as they do actually reading.

The goal is really simple: make it easier to find something good without wandering through five hundred search results first.

You’ll find romance, romantasy, fantasy, darker reads, cozy bookish things, and plenty of other ways to enable your reading habit.

I’ll also continue updating the collections as bestseller rankings and popular titles change.

I have essentially created another way to encourage both my own book-buying problem and everyone else’s, which I’m choosing to consider a public service.

Broken Immortals Reborn Book Four Is Now Available for Preorder

The next chapter of The Broken Immortals Reborn is already on the way.

For readers who knew these characters from the original third-person version of the series, Book Four corresponds with Breaking the Queen.

That said, the Reborn books have evolved far beyond being simple rewrites of the old stories.

Characters have grown. The world has expanded. Storylines have shifted. Connections that were only lightly explored before have become much more important, and the larger mythology of the series has developed considerably.

So even if you remember the original story, you shouldn’t expect everything to unfold exactly the same way.

We’re also moving into a particularly important stretch of the larger Broken Immortals story, so I’m excited to finally start getting these books into readers’ hands.

My fantasy characters aren’t getting all the attention.

The Assignment, the next book in my Love Stories from a Small Town series, is also officially available for preorder.

The Ranger Is Being Retired in Its Current Form

There’s also a little housekeeping happening with the older Broken Immortals books.

The Ranger will eventually be removed from the series and retired in its current version.

The original third-person Broken Immortals stories belong to an earlier version of this universe, and as The Broken Immortals Reborn continues growing into the series I want it to be now, keeping every previous incarnation sitting beside the new books no longer makes much sense.

But I also don’t love the idea of those older stories simply disappearing without giving longtime readers—or curious new ones—a chance to keep them.

So That’s What I’ve Been Doing

Apparently quite a bit.

There’s now a three-book Broken Immortals Reborn omnibus, another Broken Immortals book coming, a new Love Stories from a Small Town release on the horizon, an older story preparing for retirement, and an entire romance and fantasy shop that exists because I had one thought too many when I should have been sleeping.

Seems about right.
